Covid, Public Sector, and Digital Culture

Until the arrival of Covid, the effort to convince businesses to adopt technological services and digitize documents and processes was immense.

There were no visible results in Greece and the business sector.

The problem lies in the fact that we still haven't cultivated a digital culture to understand the necessity of digital transformation.

With the onset of the first lockdown, there was a sudden (we could say) need for digitization in ALL sectors, including the Public Sector.

The first actions included the creation of Gov.gr, the surge in demand for teleworking solutions, and the immediate digitization of stores (as physical stores were closed).

This led to the cultivation of a digital culture through the forced use of digital tools, exclusively via the internet.

Now, we have been led to a digital transformation across all sectors and all levels of the Public Sector.

The resources and groundwork have been established so that we can now speak the same language about the implementation of digital transformation, rather than just its necessity.
